AICIEP Model

This is a variation of AIDA, that detailed the “Desire” stage into: Consideration -> Intent -> Evaluation.
Marketing starts with Awareness and move the visitor into Intent (an overlap), where the lead (now a Sales Qualified Lead/SQL) will be transferred to Sales to bring from Intent to Purchase.
AICIEP-ARPLRA Hourglass Model
This is a complete model, the top part is the AICIEP funnel, and the bottom part (post-purchase) is inverse funnel, making it hourglass shaped. This is very similar to SmartBear’s Digital Marketing Hourglass.

The 12 stages (6 pre-purchase, and 6 post-purchase) are:
- Awareness (Engagement).
- Interest (Education).
- Consideration (Research).
- Intent.
- Evaluation (In SmartBear’s: Evaluation & Justification).
- Purchase.
- Activation (In SmartBear’s: Adoption).
- Repeat (In SmartBear’s: Retention).
- Preference (In SmartBear’s: Expansion).
- Loyalty (In SmartBear’s: Expansion).
- Referral (Endorsement, in SmartBear’s: Advocacy).
- Advocacy (Evangelism).
Digital Marketing Funnel: ACCLA Model
Awareness -> Consideration -> Conversion -> Loyalty -> Advocacy. This model breaks down “Retention” into Loyalty and Advocacy.
